Greg Nicol (Managing Director & Head Coach)

Greg is the Managing Director and Head Coach of the Kelt Capital Hockey Academy. Greg has extensive international hockey experience with 200 International Caps and 245 goals for South Africa. As well as his new duties at the Kelt Capital Hockey Academy, Greg is also the current Assistant Coach for the New Zealand Men’s Black Sticks.

Caryn Paewai (Assistant Coach)

Caryn is a current Black Stick and Ngati Kahungunu Maori Sports Woman of the Year from 1999 - 2003. Caryn is also the Regional Development Manager for Hawkes Bay Hockey and has extensive coaching experience both for Hawkes Bay and Manawatu.

Black Sticks (Men)

In addition, the Hawke’s Bay Hockey Academy, in association with Kelt Capital, has secured the invaluable expertise of 2 current Black Sticks to assist with programme development and coaching. James Nation and Shea McAleese are current members of the New Zealand Men’s Black Sticks squad. They have been contracted under a sponsorship agreement with Kelt Capital to provide programme development and coaching expertise for the Academy.

Black Sticks (Women)

Hawke’s Bay Hockey Academy, in association with Kelt Capital, has secured the invaluable expertise of 2 current Black Sticks to assist with programme development and coaching. Kayla Sharland and Bridget Kight are current members of the New Zealand Women’s Black Sticks squad. They have been contracted under a sponsorship agreement with Kelt Capital to provide programme development and coaching expertise for the Academy.
